Yet another in-box review of our new 1/24 scale V-2 has popped up, this time authored by scale modeling sage Mat Irvine from the UK.  Commenting on our use of blow-molding to create the airframe component, Mat states “I’m pleased to say that the styrene moulding here is very detailed and once finished, you’d be hard pressed to tell it’s been produced by this method.”

Mat’s an interesting character, having worked for many years at the BBC creating special effects and models for many of their productions.  The K-9 character from Doctor Who?  That’s one of Mat’s creations!  It’s almost impossible to visit a science museum in the UK without running into a model assembled for display by Mat.

If you’re not familiar with his book Creating Space, this overview of available space models is a must for any hobbyist’s bookshelf.  Mat has stated that he intends to do a build review of our V-2 kit, so keep your eyes open for that in the near future.
