National Museum of the USAF V-2

The example of a tactical V-2 on display at Dayton’s National Museum of the United States Air Force is quite possibly the best example of the rocket on display anywhere in the world.  Professionally restored by the Spaceworks team at the Kansas Cosmosphere, this V-2 is also notable for the inclusion of a Meillerwagen transport and launch support vehicle.  The restoration of this V-2 was perhaps too well done, as the missiles likely never left the factory in such splendid condition.

Lighting in the Museum’s galleries is kept at a very low level, making photography a challenge.
